If you have ever come across a difficult question or problem that is beyond your human reasoning or ability and someone by his wisdom helped you to answer the question or problem, you probably have seen the benefits of Wisdom in practical terms. Life in it's totality is pure mathematics and you need wisdom to scale through it. I often say that most people don't have a money problem. Their problem is a Wisdom-Problem. When you don't know the right thing to do to make money, your problem is not your location. Your problem is lack of wisdom. Unfortunately, when you present money and wisdom before some people, many of them will choose money and leave wisdom. That's because they don’t know that wisdom can bring all the money they will ever need in life. Money without wisdom has no future. If you put a million dollar in the hand of a foolish man, he will still be broke after few months. Of a truth, wisdom is better than rubies and everything you can desire under the sun cannot be compared to it. It is better to get wisdom than silver and gold. Wisdom is better than weapons of war. The bible says,
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out. Rom 11:33
In my previous post, I answered the question, what is wisdom according to the bible? In this post, I want to share with you 25 Benefits of wisdom. Read every line of this post very carefully, you will understand the depth of the riches of the wisdom of God. Now let’s get started.
1. Wisdom gives you protection.
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it defends and protects a man from every harassment of life. A man who doesn’t have wisdom is defenseless and open to attack from the enemy. When you have wisdom, you already have the solution before the problem comes. Wisdom puts the answer in your hands before the question arises. A man of wisdom is forever equipped and well-defended for any challenge in life. How does wisdom protect a man? Wisdom helps you to see danger when it is far and hide yourself. Wisdom helps you to know when to speak and when to keep quiet. This invariably spares you from unnecessary argument and trouble. Wisdom protects a man by helping him to know good and wrong and to do good and stay out of trouble. The same way money protects a man from insult, that's how wisdom Shields a man from shame and embarrasment in life. The bible says,
For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence : but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. Eccl 7:12
2. Wisdom helps you to reign on earth.
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it helps you to reign in life. By redemption, every child of God is ordained a king and the system through which we reign on the earth is wisdom. I don't believe there is anyone born to be a failure. Every one of us is created to be great in life and we all have a potential for greatness hidden inside of us. But the height of greatness each one of us will attain to depends on our individual wisdom. Your level of wisdom determines the level of success and greatness you will experience in your calling or field in life. Nothing reigns on the earth without wisdom. Kings don't reign on earth by common sense alone. No, there is a limit to what you can achieve or become through common sense. You need wisdom to reign on the earth. Check every brand or genuis who is controlling the market today, you will discover his secret is wisdom. The bible says,
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. Proverbs 8:15
3. Wisdom guarantees family peace.

One of the benefits of wisdom is that it guarantees family peace. Most of the marital crises in many families around the world are caused by lack of wisdom. It takes wisdom to build a happy and successful relationship and marriage. Do you know some things that cause misunderstanding in the home are things that wisdom can handle, not prayer. You only need prayer when you abuse wisdom. It is wisdom to lose an argument and win your partner and relationship. It is wisdom to keep quiet when you are offended and angry. Wisdom tells you that there is no place like home. So no matter what happens, you put family first above friends, business and money. Wisdom is the true building block for a successful marriage and family. The bible says,
Through wisdom is an house builded, and by understanding it is established. Proverbs 24:3
4. Wisdom helps you to make wealth.

Another benefit of wisdom is that it brings wealth. It is not sweat that brings wealth. Wisdom is the mother of wealth. Any Where you see wealth, it always exist in a crude form which only the wise can recognize. Take crude oil, gold and other minerals for instance, their raw state doesn't look like money. A foolish man can see raw gold and walk away without touching it. But when wisdom meets opportunity, it becomes wealth. Wisdom turns time into money. Wisdom turned animal skin into shoes, bags and clothes and sell them for money. Wisdom turns sand and cement into an estate. Anything that wisdom touches becomes money. The end point of wisdom is wealth. Bible says,
5. Wisdom gives you direction
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it gives you direction. You can’t be stranded in the journey of life when you have the w isdom of God. Wisdom shows you where to go and how to get there. The end of confusion is an infusion of wisdom from above. Without wisdom life remains a mirage. Wisdom helps you to know who you are and what you are sent on earth to do. Wisdom helps you to discover the path you are born to take. It is wisdom that shows you the route to your destiny. The treasures of God are hidden in earthen vessels, it takes wisdom to discover purpose, pursue and fulfill it. The bible says,
6. Wisdom brings grace
Another benefit of wisdom is that it brings grace. And grace simply means God in the race. Wisdom compels the hand of God to help a man. Anywhere you see wisdom, that’s where you will see help from God. God doesn't waste His resources on fools. The more stupid someone is, the more he will fall from the grace of God. One act of foolishness can disconnect a man from the favor of God. Think about King Saul, Sampson and Ahab. They lost their spiritual position, grace and anointing by one act of foolishness. It takes wisdom to walk with God and enjoy His grace. The bible says,
7. It brings Honour.
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it will bring you into honour. Wisdom takes a man out of the pit and makes him to sit with kings, governors and presidents of nations. If you need honour, get wisdom. Wisdom took Jacob from being a mere servant of his Uncle to having his own flock. Wisdom catapulted Joseph from being a prisoner in Egypt to a Prime Minister in a foreign country. Wisdom is to maker of kings. You can't have the wisdom of God and end up in shame. The bible says,
8. Wisdom brings promotion.
Promotion does not come by bringing other people down. You don’t need to blackmail anyone to rise up in life. Wisdom brings promotion in every area of life. It is God that lifts men. God can't give a man what is beyond his capacity to handle. Many people are on the floor in life because they don't have the wisdom required to go up. Wisdom lifted Solomon from a nobody to the king of Israel. You can't have wisdom and won't be celebrated in life. The bible says,
9. It leads to glory
The end point of wisdom is glory. You can’t carry the wisdom of God and won’t be glorified in life. The glorious life in Christ is only possible by walking in wisdom. Only the wise will inherit glory. It takes wisdom to make heaven. Remember the parable of the wise virgins. Lack of wisdom will make many people miss the rapture. Only the wise can discern the signs of this time. The bible says,
10. Wisdom brings creativity
Another benefit of wisdom is that it brings creativity. And creativity is the wisdom of turning ideas into reality and raw materials into finished products. Innovation and technology take wings from creativity. And wisdom empowers them all. Wisdom helps you to find out new ways and new approach of doing things. With Wisdom you don't photocopy others, you bring innovation to your wealth of information and experience. Wisdom helps you to create new things. The bible says,
11. Wisdom guarantees long life
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it gives long life to them who have it. Lack of wisdom can send one to his early grave. A wise one sees danger coming and hides himself .The bible says,
12. It is the capital for every godly venture.
The capital you need for every godly business is not money, it is wisdom. The first thing you need to start your business, ministry or career is wisdom. The bible says,
13. It gives victory over Satanic forces
The devil plays by tricks, it is the wisdom of God that humbles him to his knees. Nothing paralyzes the tricks and tactics of the devil like the wisdom of God. Get wisdom if you need victory over all satanic manipulation and operations. The bible says,
14. Wisdom brings good leadership
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it helps leaders to give good leadership. Without wisdom, you cannot be a good leader. It takes the wisdom of God to become an effective and godly leader. It was wisdom that distinguished Solomon from other kings in his time. The Bible says,
15. Wisdom prevents violence and war- Eccl 9:14-15
Another benefit of wisdom is that it prevents violence and war. With wisdom, we can enjoy peace and tranquility in the society. If our leaders will tread with wisdom, no one will ever hear the drum of war in our nations. Many violence and wars are caused by unwise actions and foolish aggressions of men.
16. Wisdom brings fame- 2 Chron 9:1 and vs 5
Wisdom breeds fame. You can’t have wisdom and won’t be famous. Every wise man ends up extraordinarily famous. God gave Solomon wisdom and his fame went all over the nations of the earth. Wisdom will announce you in your job, business, career and ministry.
17. It guarantees good management- Matt 14:20
You don’t need to grow big to manage well, you need wisdom to manage well. Folly is a waster but wisdom preserves the little available resources. Wisdom does not spend it all, it saves for the rainy day. Good management is not a function of attending Harvard Business School. It takes wisdom from God to become a good manager.
18. It brings the fear of God- Psalm 111:10
Another benefit of wisdom is that it helps you to do those things that please God. It takes wisdom to respect and reverence God in everything you do in life. Wisdom will clothe you with the fear of the Lord. Wise people fear God, only fools say there is no God.
19. Wisdom brings vision
Wisdom begets vision. Where a foolish man sees adversity, a wise man will see opportunity. Wisdom helps you to see progress in a problem. The bible says,
20. Wisdom brings commendation from God and man- Prov 12:8
Another benefit of wisdom is that it brings the approval and commendation of God and man. When you walk in wisdom, you will be praised, commended and approved by God and men.
21. Wisdom leads to Success
It is not hard work that leads to success. It is wise and smart work that brings success. The major difference between successful people and failures is wisdom. Don’t waste your time and energy doing foolish works. If you want to succeed, you need wise work. Wisdom leads to success. The bible says,
22. Wisdom makes you relevant to your generation.
Another benefit of wisdom is that it makes you relevant to your generation. When you have wisdom, you will become the most sought after among your equals. Everyone who has a difficult question will come to you for answer. You become a solution giver to the problems of your time. The bible says,
23. Wisdom bring favour from God and man.
Thank God for your labour. But one day of favour is worth more than a lifetime of labour. It is not your skin colour, body shape or your location that brings favour. It is Wisdom that gives favour before God and man. The bible says,
24. Wisdom helps you to interact with unbelievers without being negatively influenced- Matt 10:16
Salvation is not just an escape route into heaven. It is also a Green card to live on the earth to influence people for God. You don’t need to lock up yourself in your room to avoid interacting with sinners. You will always meet unbelievers at the school, place of work, market etc. Wisdom helps you to interact with unbelievers without being negatively influenced by them.
25. Wisdom will help you to make heaven at last.
One of the benefits of wisdom is that it will help you to make heaven at last. God is revealed in the Bible as the only wise God. Do you think this wise God will live together with a foolish son? No, I don’t think so. Heaven is prepared for the wise. The bible says,
