God's Will is Prosperity

One of the reasons many Christians are poor is because their mindset and perspective about Prosperity are very wrong. The poverty mentality has kept many children of God under the chains of financial hardship for too long. In this post, I want to share with you one of the kingdom mysteries of Prosperity that will liberate you from poverty. Get ready to know what no one may ever tell you about prosperity.

WHAT IS PROSPERITY?

Prosperity is not just about having money in your pocket, nor is it about driving the most exotic cars in the world or living in luxury houses. It is not fame or popularity. Prosperity is not keeping the big political office or acquiring material possessions. What then is Prosperity? Prosperity is a state of total well-being. It is a state of life where you have all-around peace or abundance in God. The bible says,

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10

One of the reasons Jesus came is to give your life and mine a meaning. He came down to raise us up. He came here to make nobodies become somebody. He can change our status from shame to honor, from lack and penury to abundance and plenty. Prosperity is a state of total well-being. Some are financially okay but broke with deadly diseases healthwise. That is not prosperity. Some have cars but are emotionally bankrupt, that’s not God’s kind of Prosperity. The prosperity that comes from God puts a man in charge in every area of life, spiritually, mentally, and financially. When a man is spiritually wealthy, mentally wealthy, financially wealthy, and physically wealthy, then we can say that he is a Prosperous man.

GOD’S WILL IS PROSPERITY

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” 3 John 1:2

Friend, God wants you to prosper. His greatest will for your life is that you will walk in supernatural prosperity. God is not going to gain anything from your poverty, it is a bad market to his reputation. You don’t resemble God by being broke and poor. God is not poor. There is nothing in God that looks like poverty. God built mansions in heaven. It takes someone that has money to do that. Why then do you think that being poor is Christianity. That’s stupidity in the highest class. The streets of heaven are paved with gold. It takes a rich man to do that. Jesus Christ fed five thousand people in one day. It takes prosperity to do that as well.

Hear me, poverty is a messenger of death and destruction. Until you are free from poverty, you are not yet free indeed. Poverty can make your dreams and visions in life remain a nightmare without seeing the dawn of the day. Poverty can frustrate your potentials, gifts, talents, and ministry and make them die in obscurity without expression. Poverty kills, it destroys, it humiliates. A poor man doesn’t have a voice. He is defenseless and open to all manner of attack.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the PROSPERITY of his servant” Psalm 35:27

God is excited to see you prosper. The prosperity of God’s servants gives God pleasure. Who did God brag with before Satan, Lazarus, or Job? When a child of God is rich and prosperous, God says, that’s my son! No good father will be happy when his children are wheelbarrow pushers or hawking oranges in the street. The desire of every good father is to see his children prosperous and successful.

YOU NEED A COVENANT UNDERSTANDING OF MONEY

“The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts” Hosea 2:8

Before now some of you think that money is evil and belongs to the devil. Now listen to me, the silver belongs to God, and the gold belongs to God. Money is not evil. Wealth and riches do not belong to the devil or occult people. God is the owner of the money. So money is an angel. Money is good. It can make your life comfortable. Money can take the gospel of the kingdom to all the nations of the world. Money can put a smile on the faces of the widows and cause the heart of the orphans to rejoice. Money can save lives. Money can do us so much good. Hear what God says,

“For the love of money is the root of all evil” 1 Tim 6:10

Money is not evil, the love of money is the root of all evil. But you can have money without loving it more than God. You need to understand that the owner of silver and gold is God. When the knowledge of the truth that money is not evil enters into your heart, it will do one thing in your life. It will make you hate poverty. Hear this, until you hate poverty, you can’t walk in supernatural prosperity. Anything you like is what you can attract.
Hear what God says,

“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures” Job 36:11

Can you see God’s desire for your life? God wants you to spend every day of your life in prosperity and your years in pleasure. Pain, lack, frustration, hardship, and poverty are not God’s plan for you. They are the works of the devil to hinder you from enjoying the best of God on the earth. You are not born again to suffer again. You are not redeemed to be poor, you are redeemed to be rich. Prosperity is your heritage in Christ. God’s word says,

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might become rich” 2 Cor. 8:9

Christ became poor that you may become rich. He was reduced for your financial status to increase. He became nothing to make you something. We are redeemed to be rich, not to be poor. Your redemption package is incomplete without prosperity. One of the seven-fold blessings that Jesus Christ received for the Believer through His death and resurrection is Prosperity. The Scripture says,

“Saying with a loud voice, worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing” Rev 5:12

Poverty is not Christianity. Lack doesn’t make you look humble. The proof that you are a child of God is not lack and penury. Abraham was rich in silver and gold yet he was a friend of God. David was so rich that he single-handedly provided all the money needed to build the temple of God yet he was a man after God’s heart. If rich men can’t make heaven then God is not in heaven either. God is rich and heaven is rich. Abraham was very rich when he walked this earth, he is in heaven now. David was very rich when he was here on earth he is also in heaven now. You too can be rich in Christ and still make heaven at last. The choice is yours.

CONCLUSION
Christ has made us kings and Priests of God to reign and rule on earth (Rev 5:10).  No king is a beggar. As kings we are royalty. We are to be envied by the world, not to be pitied. We are to control, manage and govern the affairs of this earth. I am not talking about having just enough to eat and take care of your family. God’s will is that you should lay up your gold as dust. The plan of God for the believer is that every believer should be so rich that it will take years to finish counting your money. This is the life Jesus Christ has brought to us; it’s a life of prosperity. 2 Peter 1:2 confirms it. We are called for glory and virtue, not poverty and lack. Beginning from today, poverty will never be found in your life and family. Your generation shall be a prosperous generation. You are blessed.
