How to Receive Healing from God

Several years ago I was very sick in my body so much that I spent huge amount of money on medicals and different kinds of drugs were given to me but all to no avail. Every treatment I received seemed to make my condition worst instead of making it better. I was really in pains. It looked as if my situation was hopeless. At this post, I got tired of the sickness and began to trust God for my healing.  Then one day, I was listening to my mentor on the Television preaching on divine healing. Like never before I felt faith surged through my heart and I stood up from my chair and declared, “Satan if I take any drugs again because of this sickness, know that I don’t have faith at all”. That was the end of that sickness. I used to have an open wound that refused to heal but miraculously, the wound disappeared and everything that sickness represented cleared out of my body. And to this day, I have never seen that sickness again in my body.

Friend, are you sick in your body and every medical intervention seems not to be working? Do you have a relative or friend who is suffering from any sickness or disease? There is healing for you in God. Yes you heard me well. God can heal you right now. He can also heal all your loved ones who are suffering from any sickness or disease.

It doesn’t matter if the doctors said your sickness is incurable. With God no sickness is incurable. I don’t care if they said you won’t survive the next few months. Medical doctors are not God. They are humans like you and me with blood in their veins. So they are liable to errors as all humans are. So don’t lose your sleep because someone said you are going to go blind in both eyes if you don’t go for surgery. Don’t lose your sleep because someone told you that your heart is going to knock within one month if you don’t go for a surgery. The Doctors give their analysis and report based on their medical training and their reports are facts but not the truth.  The word of God is the truth. And truth is superior to facts.  The medical doctor said the fact and God said the truth. Whose report will you believe?

In this post, I am going to share with you proven biblical principles on how to receive healing from God. What I am about to tell you is not fables but what my own hands have touched as regards to receiving healing from God. Read every line very carefully to the end. Now let’s dive in.

Amazing Promises of Healing from the Bible

Is there anything as healing in the Bible? Does the word of God make any provision for our healing? Now let me show you some amazing bible verses that promise divine healing from God.

If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Come and let us return unto the lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. Hosea 6:1

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord, because they called an Outcast, saying this Zion whom no man seeketh after. Jer 30:17

I create the fruit of the lips, Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord, and I will heal him. Isaiah 57:19

Turn again and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears, behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord. 2 Kings 20:5

How to receive healing from God

Anyone can receive divine healing from God. Some of the ways to do it are:

• You must have Faith to be Healed- Acts 14:8-10, Matt 9:20-22, Mark 2:1-12

You can receive healing from God just by having faith in your heart to be healed. The faith of your friends and loved ones on your behalf can also move God to heal you. However, God doesn’t throw healing on people’s head at random. The fact that there are sick people everywhere even inside the church proves to you that healing is not as common as many people think. It is God’s responsibility to heal, but it is your own responsibility to have faith to be healed. In the healing school, what God looks out for is faith. If your faith says yes, God cannot say no. Anywhere God sees faith that’s where His healing power will flow.  The scriptures say,

“And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked. The same heard Paul speak; who stedfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Acts 14:8-10

• Through faith in the name of Jesus Christ- Acts 3:16, Phil 2:9-11, Mark 16:17

You can receive divine healing by having faith in the name of Jesus Christ. There is a name above every name. It is the name of Jesus Christ. Every sickness has a name. And whatever that has name must obey the name of Jesus Christ. There is a healing power in the name of Jesus Christ. Believe and it will start working for you. The Bible says,

“And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea the faith which is by him hath given him perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Acts 3:16

• Through faith in the word of God- Psalm 107:20, Proverbs 4:20-22

Another way to receive healing from God is to have faith in the word of God. The word of God is His medicine. No matter the kind of sickness or disease it is, God’s word can heal you. There is healing in the word of God. Go for the word of God. Eat and chew the scriptures on divine healing. Stay with the word of God, meditate and brood on the word in your heart. When you stay long enough with the word, your final experience will be healing. The scriptures are God’s healing messenger.

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20

• Through faith in the Holy Communion- John 6:54, Rev 12:11

You can receive healing from God through faith in the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ taken in the form of the Holy Communion. The flesh of Christ was broken for our sake and by His stripes we are healed. The blood is God’s last card and final judgment on the devil and all his works. When the blood shows up, every sickness and disease must pass over. Many sick people have received divine healing by just taking the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ in faith via the Holy Communion. Try it now, it’s working.

• Through the prayer of faith from your pastors- James 5:14-15

Another sure way to receive divine healing from God is to call the Pastors of the church to pray for the sick and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The prayer of faith from the pastors is a healing balm. Is anyone sick among you? God didn’t tell you to take the sick Saint to the hospital. God recommends calling the elders of the church (the pastors) to pray for the sick and the prayer of faith will heal the sick. Don’t make God look stupid in the eyes of sinners by taking your sick ones to a herbalist. It is a slap on the face of God for a child of God to visit native doctors and voodoos for healing. Friends, there is balm in Gilead. If God can’t heal you, it’s better to die as a Saint than to live as an Idol worshipper.

• Through the anointing of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside your body- Rom 8:11

You can receive divine healing from God through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling and working in your body. The Holy Spirit is the one that quickened the body of Jesus and brought Him out of the grave. The same Holy Spirit was also the one who revitalized the cells, tissues, organs and systems in the body of Lazarus who was dead and buried in the grave for four days. If you yield your life and body to the Holy Spirit, He can recreate your failing lungs. He can give you a brand new heart. He can change your eyes. The Holy Spirit is so powerful. Let His power flow through your body and that sickness will be flushed out permanently out of your body.

• Through Dedication to Kingdom Service - Exodus 23:25

Another sure way to Receive Healing from God is through dedication to Kingdom service. When you are committed to serving God, He takes away sickness from your body. Serve God and He will service your body and keep it in health and vitality.

• Through Using Your body to Dance and Praise God - Exodus 15:11

God does wonders through Praise. You can receive Healing from God while dancing and praising God with all your heart. I am a testimony to this reality.  I don't know any health therapy that is as powerful as Praising God with dancing. It destroys all manner of sickness and diseases. You can't use your body to glorify and honor God through Praise and sickness will remain there. That sickness is not yet born. 

• Through Fasting - Isaiah 58:6, Matt 17:21

Another sure way to Receive Healing from God is through fasting. Medical experts have written and spoken intensively on the health benefits of fasting. It is worthy of note that fasting has a spiritual influence on your health. Many sickness and diseases are caused by Satanic forces, fasting breaks the yokes of the enemy and bring Healing to your body. 

Knowing Jesus Christ the Healer
Many people want to receive healing but they are not ready to know who the healer is. If you want to receive a divine healing that will be permanent in your life, then you need to know who the true healer is and get committed to Him. Your pastor or Prophet is not the healer. Men of God are only instrument through which the healer does his work. And He can decide to abandon them any time He chooses. Who is the Healer? Jesus Christ is the healer. Satan is a destroyer but Jesus Christ is the healer. He is a healing Jesus. The scriptures say,

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. Acts 10:38

And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him and healed them all. Luke 6:19

Jesus Christ is the Lord our healer (Exodus 15:26).  He is the same yesterday, today and for ever the same. His power doesn’t change. Believe and He will heal you.


Healing Hands – Your Hands are for Healing (Mark 16:17).
Your hands were not given to you just to work and eat. Your hands were given to you to heal the sick. Your hands are healing hands. They are not ordinary. The healing power of the Holy Spirit flows through those hands of yours. It doesn’t matter if you feel anything or not. Whenever you are sick, lay your hands any part of your body where you need healing and command your body to be healed. Everything created by God has intelligence. Your body will respond to the command of your faith. Lay hands on your sick friends and relatives and heal them all.

Conclusion
You don’t have any reason to be sick. Matt 8:17 reveals that Jesus Christ took all our sickness and diseases away. If He took it, you don’t have it. You can’t suffer again what Christ has taken away. Every sickness or disease you see in your body or in those of your loved ones is an intruder. You have the right to eject every illegal occupant in your body. For every plant which your heavenly father has not planted in your body must be rooted up (Matt 15:13). Today is the end of every sickness and disease in your body. No one in your family will become sick anymore. God bless you.
